Some years later, after the deaths of Sevan on December 24, 1876 and Belzire in
1884, someone began production from explorations around the salt dome near the Broussard Cemetery in August 1924.
The Fannett Oil field which produced undreamed of riches for someone other than Sevan and Belzire Broussards decendents, was centered
around this salt dome on Sevans land. Even today, oil and gas production, gas compression and storage functions are being performed
on Sevan and Belzire's land, somehow. This website was established and is maintained by the decendents of Sevan and Belzire
Broussard, Simeon and Elizabeth (Brantley) Broussard, and Millege Louis Broussard and Daisy (Jenkins) Broussard. Every effort
has been made to maintain accuracy with many records and volumes searched. If anyone reading our website SevanBroussard.com
